Such a shame that the Fleet Pond Society may use the photos “for any purpose it chooses” by entering a competition does not mean entrants are giving away the copyright for the photos.
The photo competition is aimed at amateur photographers who do not have an issue with copyright. The feedback I have received, as competition organiser, is that having their image used in cards, posters, websites, displays or blogs is a real honour that helps to support Fleet Pond Society and the work the volunteers carry out.
