Hart District Council is working with the Environment Agency and Fleet Pond Society following the death of a significant number of fish at Fleet Pond.
It is believed unusually high temperatures and low oxygen levels affected tens of thousands of fish. A clean-up operation was undertaken and measures put in place to mitigate conditions.
Please can people avoid the pond areas where work is going on and ensure dogs do not enter the water.
Anyone who sees fish dead in ponds, lakes and rivers, or struggling to breath on the surface, should contact the Environment Agency on 0800 80 70 60.
