Tasks for the upcoming season mainly focus on the removal of scrub at the Coldstream and Fugelmere Marshes (see map). Appropriate tools will be provided and all tasks are ‘weather permitting’ (the type of task may need to be changed nearer the time due to inclement weather).
The schedule is as follows (second Sunday of the month barring November due to a clash with Remembrance Sunday):
- 11 September 2016: Coldstream Marsh
- 9 October 2016: Fugelmere Marsh
- 6 November 2016: Fugelmere Marsh
- 11 December 2016: Dry Heath
- 8 January 2017: Clear Jacobs Bank and cut corridor to Fugelmere
- 12 February 2017: Fugelmere Marsh
- 12 March 2017: Coldstream Marsh
Please assemble at the Countryside Workshop, Old Pump House Close, Fleet, GU51 3DN at 9.00 a.m. for a 9.15 start. Tea, coffee and chocolate are available for the mid-morning break but please bring your own cold drink.
